I purchased this product and followed the directions supplied in what little assembly was required. With 20 minutes it exploded sending chunk of molten plastic all over my lawn only missing my 12 year old son by a few feet. I laid the unit down where it continued to melt on my driveway. I returned it and got another (1 bad egg, right?) The 2nd item made it longer but within an hour of usage maybe 90 minutes it too exploded. This time without the intense heat. I located the parts reassembled & resumed working. Within minutes it flew apart again. This happened at least 4 times before one explosion cut my leg & gave me a bruise. I'll never buy another trimmer from Black & Decker and this unit should be recalled.
